Common use of COMPLAINT AGAINST A UNIT MEMBER Clause in Contracts

COMPLAINT AGAINST A UNIT MEMBER. 4.6.1 Any complaint against a Unit Member not in writing and not signed by the complainant shall be dismissed as rumor and innuendo. However, a complaint of tardiness or absenteeism occurring at the time the complaint is made may be investigated without a written complaint. 4.6.2 It is expressly understood that nothing in this Agreement shall prohibit the District from acting upon any complaint or allegation of sexual harassment, unlawful discrimination, or other allegation which the District would be obligated to investigate by law or as a matter of public policy. 4.6.3 Except for complaints to be dismissed as rumor or innuendo as provided in section 4.6.1, and complaints or allegations as provided in section 4.6.2, where investigation of a complaint is deemed necessary, the Unit Member shall be informed of the specifics of the complaint and shall be responsible for assisting the administration in determining the facts related to the complaint. Any written complaint shall be subject to the provisions of section 4.7.3 of this Article.
