Compliance with NERC Reliability Standards Clause Samples
The Compliance with NERC Reliability Standards clause requires parties to adhere to the reliability standards set by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC). This means that any operations, maintenance, or activities related to the electric grid must meet NERC's requirements for reliability and security, such as maintaining proper documentation, reporting incidents, and following operational protocols. The core function of this clause is to ensure that all parties involved in grid operations maintain high standards of reliability and avoid actions that could jeopardize the stability or security of the electric power system.
Compliance with NERC Reliability Standards. The Parties shall confer as necessary to maintain an understanding of their respective NERC- registered roles as they pertain to the operation, maintenance, or Modification of an Interconnection Point identified in Appendix I of this Agreement or the coordination of any new Interconnection Point between the Parties. Unless otherwise agreed in writing between the Parties, each Party shall only be responsible for the NERC compliance requirements applicable to its respective Transmission System.
Compliance with NERC Reliability Standards. Prior to the execution of this Agreement, the Parties shall develop and execute the NERC Coordination Guide. The NERC Coordination Guide shall delineate the coordination of each Party's responsibilities as NERC-registered TOs to comply with NERC Reliability Standards as applicable to the Interconnection Points under this Agreement and shall not be filed at FERC. After this Agreement is executed, the Operating Committee shall maintain the NERC Coordination Guide in accordance with Article 6.2(d) of this Agreement.
