Common use of Compliance with Ordinances Clause in Contracts

Compliance with Ordinances. To obey and comply with and to indemnify the Landlord against the breach of all Ordinances, regulations, bye-laws, rules and requirements of any governmental or other competent authority relating to the use and occupation of the Premises, or to any other act, deed, matter or thing done, permitted, suffered or omitted therein or thereon by the Tenant or any employee, agent or licensee of the Tenant and without prejudice to the foregoing to obtain any licence approval or permit required by any governmental or other competent authority in connection with the Tenant’s use or occupation of the Premises prior to the commencement of the Tenant’s business and to maintain the same in force during the currency of the tenancy hereby created and to indemnify the Landlord against the consequences of a breach of this Clause.

Compliance with Ordinances. 3.1 To obey and comply with and to indemnify the Landlord against the breach of all Ordinances, regulations, bye-laws, rules and requirements of any governmental Governmental or other competent authority relating to the use and occupation of the Premises, or to any other act, deed, matter or thing done, permitted, suffered or omitted therein or thereon by the Tenant or any employee, agent or licensee of the Tenant and without prejudice to the foregoing to obtain any licence approval or permit required by any governmental Governmental or other competent authority in connection with the Tenant’s use or occupation of the Premises prior to the commencement of the Tenant’s business and to maintain the same in force during the currency of the this tenancy hereby created and to indemnify the Landlord against the consequences of a breach of this provision and to notify the Landlord forthwith in writing of any notice received from any statutory or public authority concerning or in respect of a possible breach of this Clause.
