Conduit Grounding Sample Clauses
The Conduit Grounding clause establishes requirements for properly grounding electrical conduits in a construction or installation project. It typically specifies the methods, materials, and standards to be used to ensure that all metallic conduit systems are safely connected to the building's grounding system. For example, it may require the use of grounding bushings or bonding jumpers at certain connection points. The core function of this clause is to ensure electrical safety by preventing electrical shock hazards and reducing the risk of fire due to improper grounding.
Conduit Grounding. All conduit, conduit couplings, light fixtures, junction boxes and service equipment shall be grounded with mechanical clamps to electrically bond the conduit. The bonding wire will be a minimum #10 AWG green insulated copper wire for all except light fixtures. The minimum for light fixtures is #12 AWG green insulated copper wire.
Conduit Grounding. Each conduit discontinuity, including but not limited to conduit couplings, junction boxes, light fixtures, and service equipment, will be provided with ground clamps to electrically bond the conduit. The bonding wire will be green insulated #6 AWG or larger.
