Common use of Confidential Information Ownership Clause in Contracts

Confidential Information Ownership. (a) Each party shall treat as confidential all Confidential Information of the other party that comes to its knowledge through this Agreement. Each party shall take such steps to prevent disclosure of such Confidential Information to any third person as it would take in protecting its own proprietary or confidential information and shall not use any portion of such Confidential Information for any purpose not authorized herein. All Confidential Information of each party and any information containing a party’s Confidential Information shall at all times remain the exclusive property of that party.
