Common use of Confidential Nature of Personnel Records Clause in Contracts

Confidential Nature of Personnel Records. All personnel records and files and examination materials are confidential. The Human Resources Director shall take all necessary steps to protect the confidentiality of those materials. Disclosure of such records shall be governed by the Public Records Act, Government Code Sections 6250, et. seq. Individual employees may review their official personnel file maintained by the Human Resources Department and/or respective appointing authority. With the written consent of the employee, the authorized representative of the recognized employee organization may also review that personnel file.
