Leave With Pay. Compassionate leave of absence with pay shall be granted for three (3) work days. Up to two (2) additional days with pay shall be granted for travelling time when this is warranted in the judgement of the Employer.
Leave With Pay. Leave with pay shall not affect a nurse’s compensation, accrued hours, benefits or status with the Employer.

Leave With Pay. Such unit employee may be granted bereavement leave with full pay not to exceed a total of three (3) working days per occurrence as approved by department management.

Leave With Pay. Leave with pay can be agreed to allow the employee to pursue other job options inside or outside the University for an agreed time period. This leave with pay forms part of the severance payment and the portion used whilst on leave with pay will be deducted from any final severance payment. Leave with pay cannot exceed the amount of the full severance payment. The employee may not take up other work during the period on pay except for secondary employment already approved.
Leave With Pay. The Board shall grant a leave of absence with no deduction in salary or sick leave credits, subject to the following limitations:
a) up to three (3) days leave in the event of a serious illness, medical appointment/treatment, or legal obligation involving a spouse, same sex partner, child, sibling, parent, total dependent, or near relative living in the same home;
b) a leave of up to five (5) days for the death of a spouse, same sex partner, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, near relative or total dependent living in the same home;
c) a leave of up to three (3) days for the death of a mother-in-law, father-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, or total dependent;
d) a one (1) day leave for the purpose of attending a funeral for someone not covered in 16.03 (b) or 16.03 (c);
e) a leave of up to two (2) days for the birth or adoption of a child by the Member;
f) a leave for approved school business;
