Common use of CONNECTION WORKS Clause in Contracts

CONNECTION WORKS. Our Connection Works do not include: • Removal of obstructions to working areas • Removal of flue stacks internally above a height of 2.4m from finished floor level • Diversion of existing utilities connections • Repair or remedy of any pre-existing faults or issues with the Property, including heating, hot water and electrical systems Our Connection Works include: • If you have an existing boiler this will be isolated, disconnected and safely secured within the property boundary • Isolating and making safe your fuel store • Stripping out and remove redundant controls equipment • Ensuring the Heat Interface Unit is fully functional • Connection of the heating programmer & controls to the system and testing to ensure they are working • Making good any areas of your property affected by our works up to the Heat Interface Unit to the same condition as at commencement • Providing an End-user Instruction Manual • Providing end user instruction delivered by the engineers 3.1 Our Connection Works comprise: Your Landlord Works include: • Ensuring there is a suitable system that can be connected to the Heat Network. This work will be agreed separately with Sanctuary Housing. • Working outside of normal working hours (as above) • Provision of consultancy for works outside the Contractor’s scope (to be managed under separate appointment) • Provision of temporary heating and hot water services during installation • Replacement of upstream heating, hot water or electrical infrastructure Installation of cabinets / cupboards to hide Heat Interface Unit • Redecoration other than making good We will carry out Our Connection Works in accordance with the following additional requirements/points agreed with You • Engineer to visit your property 2-7 day prior to the Heat Interface Unit installation to ensure internal works are compatible • It may be necessary to remove extraneous and redundant system components as part of the installation, such as vents and expansion tanks • Removal of tank and existing boiler for disposal by CCC (if there is one on the property).
