Construction Utilities. Contractor shall be responsible for the cost, supply and availability of electric power and distribution requirements for the performance of the Work at the Job Site for the construction and up to Provisional Acceptance; provided, however, Contractor shall be responsible for the cost of any such items to the extent required in order to reperform any Tests. Contractor shall provide its own telephone, facsimile, radio and other communication facilities at the Job Site as necessary for the performance of the Work. If FPL determines that any Test performed or to be performed by Contractor will result in financial harm to FPL, Contractor will accommodate FPL’s reasonable requests to mitigate or alleviate such harm to FPL. In addition, Contractor shall provide, at its sole cost and expense, all chemicals for commissioning, start-up and testing and its own temporary lighting, water and sewer facilities at the Job Site.

Construction Utilities. 6.15.1 Hydrotest water Owner shall provide about 200,000 m3 of hydrotest water of suitable quality per API 620, Appendix Q, within 4000 feet of the Tanks. Provision of and payment for Tank hydrotest water is the responsibility of Owner. Upon completion of the hydrotest the water shall be returned to Owner within 4000 feet of the Tanks.

Construction Utilities. Utilities necessary to complete the Work and to completely perform all of the Contractors’ obligations shall be obtained by the Contractor without adjustment of the Contract Sum. The Contractor shall furnish and install necessary or appropriate temporary distributions of utilities, including utilities furnished by the District. Any such temporary distributions shall be removed by the Contractor upon completion of the Work. The costs of all such utility services, including the installation and removal of temporary distributions thereof, shall be borne by the Contractor and included in the Contract Sum. Refer to Division 1 for Temporary Facilities and Controls.
Construction Utilities. The Design-Builder shall provide, make all arrangements necessary to secure the availability of all Utilities necessary for the performance of the Design-Build Work. The Design-Builder shall be responsible for the payment of all Utility bills in a timely manner in connection with all Design-Build Work performed from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed with Stage 2 Design-Build Work until the Substantial Completion Date.
Construction Utilities. The Contractor shall furnish all construction utilities and related equipment, materials, and supplies required for prosecution of the Work under these specifications but not incorporated in the completed Work. All construction utilities shall be of the proper type and size to adequately perform the Work. All construction utilities shall be regularly and systematically maintained throughout the Work to ensure proper and efficient operation. Construction utilities which are inadequate or improperly maintained shall be promptly modified, repaired, or removed from the site and replaced to the satisfaction of CPS Energy. All temporary construction utilities furnished by the Contractor shall remain the property of the Contractor and, when the construction is completed, all such temporary construction utilities shall be removed from the site and the area shall be restored to its original condition. All construction utility equipment furnished by the Contractor for use on the Work shall be of the type and size required to perform the Work in a safe and satisfactory manner. All equipment shall be in first-class condition when delivered to the jobsite and shall be maintained in this condition throughout the construction period. Any equipment which is not suitable or which is not in first-class operating condition shall immediately be repaired or replaced with acceptable equipment. CPS Energy will not furnish construction power.
Construction Utilities. A. WATER: College shall furnish water from a hose bib or quick coupler to Contractor at no cost. Should Contractor require more water than can be had from such connection, Contractor shall secure a permit from the appropriate water agency for a fire hydrant meter, at no additional cost to the District.

Conductors shall be not less than 12 AWG copper and insulated for 480 volts. A breaker shall be provided for the protection of each circuit. Temporary Heat as required for the efficient prosecution of the Work and to prevent freeze damage during construction. Heating methods shall be submitted for Contractors approval prior to use. Salamanders or other heating methods which constitute a hazard to personnel or property shall not be used; open fires will not be allowed.
