Continuous Service Period of Notice. Not more than 1 year 1 week More than 1 year but not more than 3 years 2 weeks More than 3 years but not more than 5 years 3 weeks More than 5 years. 4 weeks This period of notice shall be increased by one week where the employee is over 45 years of age and has completed two years of continuous service with the employer. The period of notice to be given by the employee shall be one week. Where less than one weeks notice is given by the employee the employer is entitled to deduct one weeks pay from the employees termination payment.
