Contractor may invoice Clause Samples

The 'Contractor may invoice' clause grants the contractor the right to submit invoices for payment for work performed or services rendered under the contract. Typically, this clause outlines when and how invoices can be issued, such as after reaching certain project milestones, upon completion of specific tasks, or on a regular schedule like monthly billing. Its core practical function is to establish a clear process for the contractor to request payment, ensuring both parties understand when payments are due and helping to prevent disputes over billing and compensation.
Contractor may invoice. Owner for the remaining balance of the Contract Sum (the “Final Payment”) once the Work is substantially completed. (“Substantial Completion” or “substantially complete” means that the Owner is able to use the Synthetic Fields and Running Track as intended by the Owner). Owner shall determine in its sole discretion when Contractor has achieved Substantial Completion, which determination shall not be unreasonably withheld. Retainage shall be withheld from the Final Payment to Contractor, as more specifically set forth in Article 5.5 below.
