Common use of CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE REQUIREMENTS Clause in Contracts

CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE REQUIREMENTS. Contracts that include requirements for installation or state “furnish and install” require that the Contractors possess a valid California State Contractor’s License at the time of contract award. If sub-contractors are used, they must also possess a valid California State Contractor’s License. All businesses which construct or alter any building, highway, road, parking facility, railroad, excavation, or other structure in California must be licensed by the California State License Board (CSLB) if total cost, including labor and materials, of the project is $300.00 or more. Failure to be licensed or to keep the license current and in good standing during the term of the contract with the County shall be grounds for contract revocation.
