Contractor Requirements. The Firm shall be construed, during the entire term of this contract, to be an independent contractor. Nothing in this contract is intended to nor shall be construed to create an employer- employee relationship, or a joint venture relationship. The Firm represents that it is qualified to perform the duties to be performed under this contract and that it has, or will secure, if needed, at its own expense, applicable personnel who are qualified to perform the duties required under this contract. Such personnel shall not be deemed in any way, directly or indirectly, expressly or by implication, to be employees of the District. Any person assigned by the firm to perform the services hereunder shall be the employee or a subcontractor of the Firm, who shall have the sole right to hire and discharge its employee or subcontractors. The Firm or its subcontractors shall pay, when due, all salaries and wages of their employees and accepts exclusive responsibility for the payment of federal income tax, social security, unemployment compensation and any other withholdings that may be required. Neither the Firm, its subcontractors nor their employees are entitled to state retirement or leave benefits. It is further understood that the consideration expressed herein constitutes full and complete compensation for all services and performance hereunder, and that any sum due and payable to the Firm shall be paid as a gross sum with no withholdings or deductions being made by the District for any purpose from said contract sum, except as permitted in paragraphs 16, 17 and 18.
Contractor Requirements. Contractor shall:
(a) Notify its employees of: Zero tolerance policy described in this clause; and actions that will be taken against employees for violations of this policy. (Such actions may include, but are not limited to, removal from the Contract, reduction in benefits, or termination of employment); and (b) Take appropriate action against employees or subcontractors that violate policy in paragraph a.(2) of this clause, up to and including termination.
Contractor Requirements. A. The Contractor and all of its Subcontractors for the duration of the Contract are required to comply with all laws regarding authorization to do business in Virginia, licensing, and other regulatory requirements as applicable; to be financially stable; and to provide for performance of the Work a sufficient work force, all of whom are qualified for and experienced in the Work.
B. The Owner, upon written Notice to the Contractor, and in the Owner's sole discretion, shall have the right to direct the Contractor and its Subcontractors to remove an employee permanently from the Project for any reason. Any individual who is removed from the Project pursuant to this Section may not return without specific permission of the Owner.
C. The Contractor will ensure that no Work shall be performed in occupied areas on a Project Site during school hours unless express written approval has been granted by the Owner and proper safety precautions have been exercised to isolate the area of the Work.
D. Tobacco products, alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, and weapons are prohibited on the Project Site and will constitute grounds for immediate removal of any employee of the Contractor or of any Subcontractor from the Project Site. Sexual harassment, profanity, and inappropriate behavior are not permitted on the Project Site and will constitute grounds for immediate removal of any employee of the Contractor or of any of its Subcontractors.
E. No Smoking Policy on Arlington Public Schools’ property: Contractors and Subcontractors, including their employees or agents, performing work on APS property shall abide by the no smoking policies applicable to the property.
F. Drug-Free Workplace. For the purposes of this Contract “drug-free workplace” means a Project Site in connection with a specific Purchase Order. All, the employees, Subcontractors and other representatives of Contractor of whom are prohibited from engaging in the unlawful manufacture, sale, distribution, dispensation, possession or use of any controlled substance or marijuana during the performance of the Contract on any Project Site. During the performance of this Contract, the Contractor agrees to:
Contractor Requirements. The Contractor shall--

(i) The United States Government's policy prohibiting trafficking in persons, described in paragraph (b) of this clause; and
(ii) The actions that will be taken against employees or agents for violations of this policy. Such actions for employees may include, but are not limited to, removal from the contract, reduction in benefits, or termination of employment; and
(2) Take appropriate action, up to and including termination, against employees, agents, or subcontractors that violate the policy in paragraph (b) of this clause.
Contractor Requirements. The contractor engaged by Tenant for Tenant’s Work, and any subcontractors, shall be duly licensed in California and shall be subject to Landlord’s prior written approval (in accordance with, and to the extent provided in, Paragraph 1(t) above). Tenant shall engage only union contractors for the construction of Tenant’s Work and for the installation of Tenant’s fixtures and equipment in the Building, and shall require all such contractors engaged by Tenant, and all of their subcontractors, to use only union labor on or in connection with such work, except to the extent Landlord determines, in its reasonable discretion, that the use of non-union labor would not create a material risk of labor disputes, picketing or work interruptions at the Center, in which event Landlord shall, to that extent, waive such union labor requirement at Tenant’s request.

Contractor Requirements. The Contractor shall—
(1) Notify its employees of—
(A) The United States Government's policy prohibiting trafficking in persons described in paragraph (b) of this clause; and
(B) The following directive(s) or notice(s) applicable to employees performing work at the contract place(s) of performance as indicated below: [ Contracting Officer shall insert title of directive/notice; indicate the document is attached or provide source (such as website link) for obtaining document; and, indicate the contract performance location outside the United States to which the document applies.]
(ii) The actions that will be taken against employees or agents for violations of this policy. Such actions for employees may include, but are not limited to, removal from the contract, reduction in benefits, or termination of employment; and
(2) Take appropriate action, up to and including termination, against employees, agents, or subcontractors that violate the policy in paragraph (b) of this clause.
Contractor Requirements. A. Contractor Shall:
1. Conduct all operations between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. during the normal work week, Monday through Friday on all local streets, parcels or flood control channels. All operations on arterial or collector streets will be performed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. If Contractor desires to work hours or days other than as provided, it may file a request subject to approval stating intended operations, hours and dates, with a reason for schedule change.
Contractor Requirements. The Contractor must meet the following requirements to provide services under this contract:
A. Hold a valid Advanced, Master, SEE, MSS, OC:C, OC:V, Court, Trilingual Advanced, Trilingual Master, Level III, Level IV, or Level V, BEI interpreter certificate for a period of five years or more or hold a valid CDI, Level V Intermediary, or Medical BEI interpreter certificate;
B. Possess a knowledge of linguistics, sign language theory, and interpreting for the specified level of certification for which rating services are to be provided;
C. Be a Texas resident;
D. Be trained by DHHS prior to participating in scoring sessions;
E. Work effectively in teams; and
F. Possess a knowledge of the English language, paraphrasing, mirror writing, and oral interpreting support techniques to provide Oral rating services.
Contractor Requirements. Within fifteen (15) days of contract award, the Contractor shall provide:
A. The Contractor shall provide a list of equipment and facilities available to service the contract. The list shall be inclusive of service vehicles and any specialized equipment available at no additional cost to the County. Lot A: The Contractor shall own a minimum of five (5) working service vehicles. The Contractor shall submit make, model, and VIN for each vehicle.
B. Lot A: The Contractor shall provide services to multiple geographical locations and shall have GPS technology to track the locations of employees and time spent on each job site.
C. The Contractor shall provide an organizational chart listing all management staff by name and title to provide the services required herein. The organizational chart shall include local business managers, field supervisors, and any other management staff to be assigned to the contract.
D. The Contractor shall provide the contact information for a Contract Supervisor/Manager (or similar title) that would be assigned to oversee the contract and be a direct contact for the County contract and related issues. Contact information shall include a valid e-mail address, office phone number, and a cell phone number.
