Common use of Contractual succession Clause in Contracts

Contractual succession. A person who is not a spouse, partner or civil partner of the tenant may have a contractual right to succeed if s/he: 9.3.2.1 is the son, daughter or sibling of the deceased tenant who resided with the tenant in the property throughout the period of twelve months ending with the tenant's death and providing the property was the person's only or principal home throughout this period, or 9.3.2.2 is responsible for the deceased tenant's dependents and cannot fulfil this role without residing in the property.
