If the per capita subscriber cost for enrollment in the plan selected by the retiree exceeds the maximum City contribution for retirees provided, the retiree shall have the amount of such excess cost deducted from his/her pension check.

City Contribution is expressed as a percentage of the effective Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) Plan subscriber cost for the enrollment status applicable to the retiree and represents the maximum contribution made by the City on behalf of such retiree. Work Day, as used herein, is the employee's regular work shift as established under the Hours of Work Article. If the per capita subscriber cost for enrollment in the plan selected by the retiree exceeds the maximum City contribution for retirees provided, the retiree shall have the amount of such excess cost deducted from his/her pension check.
