Cooperation In the Field of Environment. 1. The Parties, recognizing the need for environmentalpreservation and improvement to promote sound andsustainable development, shall cooperate in the field ofenvironment. Cooperative activities under this Article mayinclude: (a) exchange of information on policies, laws,regulations and technology related to thepreservation and improvement of the environment,and the implementation of sustainabledevelopment; (b) promotion of capacity and institutional buildingto xxxxxx activities related with the Clean Development Mechanism under the Kyoto Protocol tothe United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, as may be amended, by means ofworkshops and dispatch of experts, andexploration of appropriate ways to encourage theimplementation of the Clean Development Mechanismprojects; (c) encouragement of trade and dissemination ofenvironmentally sound goods and services; and (d) encouraging the exchange of information for theidentification of investment opportunities andthe promotion and development of businessalliances in the field of environment. 2. Implementing arrangements setting forth the detailsand procedures of cooperative activities under this Articlemay be made between the government agencies of the Parties. Article 148. Non-application of Chapter 15 The dispute settlement procedure provided for inChapter 15 shall not apply to this Chapter.
