Common use of COORDINATED SERVICE ARRANGEMENTS Clause in Contracts

COORDINATED SERVICE ARRANGEMENTS. 18.1 Intercept and Referral Announcements When a Customer changes its service provider from BA to Covad, or from Covad to BA, and does not retain its original telephone number, the Party formerly providing service to such Customer shall provide a referral announcement ("Referral Announcement") on the abandoned telephone number which provides details on the Customer's new number or provide other appropriate information to the extent known. Referral Announcements shall be provided reciprocally, free of charge to either the other Party or the Customer to the extent the providing Party does not charge its own customers for such service, for a period of not less than four (4) months after the date the Customer changes its telephone number in the case of business Customers and not less than sixty (60) days after the date the Customer changes its telephone number in the case of residential Customers. However, if either Party provides Referral Announcements for different periods than the above respective periods when its Customers change their telephone numbers, such Party shall provide the same level of service to Customers of the other Party.
