Costs of Carrying Out Responsibilities; Shared Costs. (a) Costs to be Borne by the Parties Individually. Subject to the shared cost obligations of this Section 3.4, each party will carry out the activities for which it is responsible at its own expense, including the costs of any research and development, internal staff and overhead costs, consultants and other outside contractors assisting a party in performing its duties, travel costs, initial U.S. patent filing and prosecution costs, locating and engaging Third Parties, and public relations.
