County Appropriations Clause Samples
The County Appropriations clause establishes that the county's financial obligations under an agreement are contingent upon the availability and appropriation of funds by the county's governing body. In practice, this means that if the county does not allocate sufficient funds for a particular fiscal year, it is not required to fulfill payment or performance obligations under the contract for that period. This clause protects the county from being legally bound to financial commitments that exceed its approved budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and compliance with public funding procedures.
