Criteria for Qualifying. All non-certificated employees of the Northwestern Local School District who retire with SERS from active service with this district with ten (10) or more years of service in the Northwestern Local School District may at the time of retirement (defined as being retirement based on active service, not disability, and the filing and approval of an application for retirement by the Ohio state retirement systems) apply to be paid a portion of accrued but unused sick leave credit with the following limitations:
