Crossing Fiscal Years. If the School District will pay any portion of the compensation set forth in this Section 6 in any School District fiscal year (the School District’s fiscal year runs July 1 - June 30) subsequent to the fiscal year in which the Initial Term or an Additional Term of this Contract commences (in either case, “Commencement FY”), the Architectural Designer understands and agrees that the portion of the compensation under this Contract payable with School District funds that may accrue hereunder in a subsequent fiscal year remains subject to legally mandated budget authorization by the SRC of the School District under Applicable Law. If for any reason funds for that portion of the compensation that may accrue hereunder in a subsequent fiscal year are not continued in any subsequent School District fiscal year, this Contract and the School District’s liability under this Contract shall automatically terminate at the end of the fiscal year of the then current Commencement FY; provided, however, that the Architectural Designer shall be compensated in accordance with the terms of this Contract for Services that have been provided and accepted by the School District prior to the end of the fiscal year of the then current Commencement FY.
