Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Standards (CLAS). The City is committed to providing effective, equitable, understandable and respectful quality care and services that are responsive to diverse cultural beliefs and practices, preferred languages, health literacy, and other communication needs. This commitment applies to services provided directly by the City as well as services provided through its Grantees. Grantee and its Subgrantees agree to implement processes and services in a manner that is culturally and linguistically appropriate and competent.
