CURRENCY CONVERSION SERVICE. All purchases or cash advances made in a foreign currency are payable in Canadian currency converted at the exchange rate in effect as determined by Desjardins or its provider on the date the purchase or cash advance is processed. The cardholder may write cheques in Canadian currency only. Any cheque written in foreign currency will automatically be returned to the cardholder. The cardholder shall pay a currency conversion charge of 2.50% ($2.50 per $100 spent) on any amounts recorded in the cardholder’s account in foreign currencies and converted into Canadian dollars. The amount payable in exchange rate charges and the currency conversion charge is deemed to be a regular purchase within the meaning of Section 9 of this Agreement and will be charged to the cardholder’s account on the date the currency is converted. In the event that a foreign currency conversion transaction is credited to the cardholder’s account, the transaction will be converted into Canadian currency at the exchange rate in effect as determined by Desjardins or its provider on the date the credit is processed, minus a currency conversion charge of 2.50% ($2.50 per $100 spent).

The amount payable in currency conversion charges is deemed to be a regular purchase and will be charged to the secondary account of the authorized representative’s Visa Desjardins card on the date the currency is converted. In the event that a foreign currency conversion transaction is credited to the holder’s Visa Desjardins account, the transaction will be converted into Canadian currency at the exchange rate in effect as determined by the Federation or its provider on the date the conversion is processed, minus the currency conversion charge of 2.5% (two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50) per one hundred dollars ($100) spent).

In the event that a purchase or service refund is carried out on the Visa Desjardins prepaid card account in a foreign currency, the transaction amount will be converted into Canadian currency at the exchange rate in effect as determined by the Federation or its provider on the day the conversion is processed, minus a currency conversion charge of 2.5%($2.50 per $100).

The cardholder shall pay a currency conversion charge of 1.8% (one dollar and eighty cents ($1.80) per one hundred dollars ($100) spent) on any amounts recorded in the cardholder’s account in foreign currencies and converted into Canadian dollars. The amount payable in exchange rate charges and the currency conversion charge is deemed to be a regular purchase within the meaning of Section 9 of this Agreement and will be charged to the cardholder’s account on the date the currency is converted. In the event that a foreign currency conversion transaction is credited to the cardholder’s VISA Desjardins account, the transaction will be converted in Canadian currency at the exchange rate in effect as determined by Xxxxxxxxxx Group or its provider on the date the credit is processed, deduction made of the currency conversion charge of 1.8% (one dollar and eighty cents ($1.80) per one hundred dollars ($100) spent). This could for example cause the amount of a debit for a purchase to exceed the amount of the corresponding credit in Canadian currency for a refund or return of such purchase, since the exchange rate in effect on the date of the credit may be different from the exchange rate in effect on the date of the purchase.

Currency conversion charges of 1.8% on the amounts recorded in the account in foreign curren- cies and converted into Canadian dollars will be payable. The amount payable in foreign exchange charges is deemed to be a regular purchase within the meaning of Section 9 and will be charged to the cardholder’s account on the date the currency is converted.

The cardholder shall pay a currency conversion charge of 2.5% (two US dollars and fifty cents (US$2.50) per one hundred US dollars (US$100) spent) on any amounts recorded in the cardholder’s account in foreign currencies and converted into US dollars. The amount payable in exchange rate charges and the currency conversion charge is deemed to be a regular purchase within the meaning of Section 10 of this Agreement and will be charged to the cardholder’s account on the date the currency is converted. In the event that a foreign currency conversion transaction is credited to the cardholder’s Visa Desjardins account, the transaction will be converted in U.S. currency at the exchange rate in effect as determined by the Federation or its provider on the date the credit is processed, deduction made of the currency conversion charge of 2.5% (two US dollars and fifty cents (US$2.50) per one hundred US dollars (US$100) spent). This could for example cause the amount of a debit for a purchase to exceed the amount of the corresponding credit in Canadian currency for a refund or return of such purchase, since the exchange rate in effect on the date of the credit may be different from the exchange rate in effect on the date of the purchase.
