Common use of Death of an Offender Clause in Contracts

Death of an Offender. 4.04.1 In the event of the death of a CDCR Offender, the CONTRACTOR will immediately notify the CDCR Contract Monitor via telephone and shall have the cause and circumstances of the death reviewed by the coroner of the local jurisdiction. If requested by CDCR, the CONTRACTOR shall obtain an independent autopsy. This autopsy shall be paid for by the CDCR. A certified copy of the death certificate and the offender’s file and medical records will be forwarded to the CDCR.
