Decision to implement. 25.6.1 If an Employer decides to implement technological change, the employees who may be materially affected in their employment by the change, and any employee representatives which may include the Union, will be notified by the Employer as soon as possible thereafter. 25.6.2 After notifying the decision, the Employer will inform the employees who have been notified, and their representatives, which may include the Union of the nature and extent of likely material effects, will consult with them about the proposed change, the reasons for it and any alternative proposals which, if implemented, might eliminate or lessen likely material effects.
