PERMITS, LICENSES AND TAXES The Contractor shall procure all permits and licenses, pay all charges, fees, and taxes, and give all notices necessary and incidental to the due and lawful prosecution of the work. However, for the Contractor to be relieved of the Sales Tax liability, the contract must be a “separated contract”, i.e., costs of materials incorporated into the project must be separated from all other costs of the project. The OWNER will issue to the Contractor an exemption certificate for the Contractor’s records in substantiating materials “resold” to the OWNER by the Contractor’s incorporation of said materials on the OWNER project(s).
