Common use of Declination of Benefits Clause in Contracts

Declination of Benefits. Subject to state law and the rules and regulations of the insurance carrier, bargaining unit members may decline benefits the employee would otherwise be entitled to in accordance with this Article. Members who decline insurance benefits in a timely manner will not have any employee contribution towards insurance withheld from their paychecks for the duration of the declination period.
