Common use of Decoration Deposits Clause in Contracts

Decoration Deposits. (a) If any works are to be carried out to a Residential Unit, to obtain from its Owner a refundable Decoration Deposit of a sum which is equivalent to one month’s then Monthly Management Fees payable in respect of that Residential Unit or of such amount as may from time to time be stipulated in the Development Rules for securing the payment of the cost of making good any damage to the Common Parts or any breach of this Deed caused by or resulting from the aforesaid works.

(a) If any works are to be carried out to a Residential Flat (but not any other type of Unit), to obtain from its Owner a refundable Decoration Deposit of a sum which is equivalent equal to one 1 month’s then Monthly Management Fees payable in respect of for that Residential Unit or of such amount as may from Flat for the time to time be stipulated in the Development Rules for securing the payment being. The purpose of the cost of making good Decoration Deposit includes covering any damage to the Common Parts by such works or any breach of this Deed caused by or resulting from the aforesaid works.
