Common use of Deductibles and Self-Insured Retention Clause in Contracts

Deductibles and Self-Insured Retention. Any deductibles or self-insured retention exceeding Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) must be declared to and approved by the District. At the option of the District, either: 14.4.1 The District can accept the higher deductible; 14.4.2 Construction Manger’s insurer shall reduce or eliminate such deductibles or self-insured retention as respects the District, its officers, officials, employees and volunteers; or 14.4.3 Construction Manager shall procure a bond guaranteeing payment of losses and related investigations, claim administration and defense expenses.
