Defined Term Appointments. A defined term appointment shall be for a period of not more than five (5) years and normally not less than one (1) year; such an appointment carries no expectation of renewal beyond the term specified but may be renewed and is subject to the provisions of Article 6.2.2. When defined term appointments are renewed for an additional term, service shall be deemed continuous. Defined term appointments shall be used only for full-time coaches and non-instructional athletic trainers (See Article 6).

Defined term appointments shall be used only for full-time coaches, and non-instructional athletic trainers, (See Article 6) counseling faculty (See Article 7), and may be used for teaching/clinical faculty as full-time, non-tenure track appointments, with the primary responsibility for teaching, advising, student supervision including field supervision and coordination.

  • Continuing Appointments A Continuing appointment signifies the right of a Member to continuous employment that may be terminated only through the mechanisms provided in Article 8.

  • SECTION 2 - APPOINTMENT 2.1 Employee is appointed as a technical officer currently assigned as the Executive Assistant effective August 4, 2020, on the terms and conditions set out in the Agreement.
