Definition of Common (Shared) Transport. Common (Shared) Transport is an interoffice transmission path between two BellSouth end-offices, BellSouth end-office and a local tandem, or between two local tandems. Where BellSouth Network Elements are connected by intra-office wiring, such wiring is provided as a part of the Network Elements and is not Common (Shared) Transport. Common (Shared) Transport consists of BellSouth inter-office transport facilities and is unbundled from local switching.
