DPA Definitions The definition of terms used in this DPA is found in Exhibit “C”. In the event of a conflict, definitions used in this DPA shall prevail over terms used in any other writing, including, but not limited to the Service Agreement, Terms of Service, Privacy Policies etc.
Definition of Shifts (a) A shift starting on or after 6:00 a.m., but before 9:00 a.m. is a day shift.
Definition of Grievance A grievance shall be defined as any difference arising out of the interpretation, application, administration, or alleged violation of the Collective Agreement.

Definition of the Bargaining Unit 7 The County recognizes Local 88, AFSCME, hereinafter referred to as the 8 "Union", as the sole and exclusive bargaining representative for the purpose of 9 establishing salaries, wages, hours, fringe benefits, and working conditions for all 10 employees in the County classified service as set forth in MCC Chapter 9 except those 11 specifically excluded below. Definition of Layoff A layoff shall be defined as a reduction in the work force or a reduction in the regular hours of work as defined in this Agreement.
RECOGNITION AND DEFINITIONS 2.01 The Employer recognizes the Ontario Nurses’ Association as the exclusive bargaining agent for all registered nurses, and nurses with Temporary Certificates of Registration, employed in a nursing capacity at the Queen’s Family Health Team at Queen’s University in Kingston, save and except nurse manager and persons above the rank of nurse manager.
