Definitional Conventions Sample Clauses

The Definitional Conventions clause establishes the rules and guidelines for interpreting defined terms and language throughout a contract. It typically clarifies how singular and plural forms, gendered pronouns, and references to sections or documents should be understood, and may specify that certain words have the same meaning regardless of tense or capitalization. By standardizing interpretation, this clause ensures consistency and reduces ambiguity, helping all parties understand the contract's terms in the same way.
