Definitions and Understandings. a. A grievance is defined to be a complaint by any employee or the Association based on an event or condition which is claimed or considered to be a violation, misinterpretation, or misapplication of this Agreement. b. Nothing contained herein shall be construed as limiting the right of any employee having a grievance to discuss the matter informally with any appropriate member of the administration and having the grievance adjusted without intervention of the Association provided the adjustment is not inconsistent with the terms of this Agreement. The Association may be present at all such meetings. c. It is agreed that no grievance shall be presented hereunder which occurred prior to the effective date of the Agreement. d. Re-employment of probationary employees is not a proper subject for grievances under the grievance procedure.
