Degree Awarding. After successful completion of the two academic years (120 ECTS credits) as described in article 3, the University of Pavia and the University of Liège will award the corresponding diplomas according to their own regulation and procedures (refer to appendix 6). Each diploma could mention the present agreement and the partner's diploma. If available, each university will deliver its own diploma supplement.
Degree Awarding. Upon the completion of the double degree procedure and fulfilment of all relevant requirements at both institutions, JMU will award the degree . The will award the degree. Both universities agree that students participating in this double degree programme shall be exempted from payment of any tuition fees at the host institution. All visiting exchange students at JMU have to pay an enrollment fee for administrative costs and for public transportation (“WVV semester ticket”). This fee must be paid by the exchange student by the end of a defined payment deadline that may vary according to the term. The fees are subject to change without prior notice. The students must have sufficient funds to cover all costs that are not sustained by the home university and the host university. The students shall be obliged to cover any travelling, board and accommodation costs as well as any personal expenses and costs. The students are responsible for arranging and paying for medical assistance. Students must ensure that they have adequate health/medical insurance coverage and visas.

The certificates clearly have to state with reference to the partner university that the academic degree was awarded within a double degree programme.
Degree Awarding. At the end of the programme, the Student will receive the national Master of Science Degree from the Degree- Awarding institutions in which she/he has obtained a minimum of 30 ECTS (i.e. in which the student studied periods P1, P2 and P3). According to his/her mobility track the student will be awarded with a minimum of two and a maximum of three national degrees. The IMAE coordination will not deliver partial certificate or credits statement in case of withdrawal. In addition to the double or multiple degrees and national transcript of records for each period, the student will receive a common Diploma Supplement. This Diploma Supplement (DS) will mention the course units attended by the student during the two IMAE Master years and the ECTS grades obtained for each one in the local grading system and converted in ECTS and US grading “letters” systems as well. The DS will inform about the global points average of the student and his/her rank among the other students of the same cohort. When the IMAE Joint degree will be implemented, such degree will be awarded in replacement of the national degrees of all the partner institutions whom co-signed the joint degree. National degree(s) will complete the IMAE joint degree.

Degree Awarding. The completion of the curriculum is rewarded by a PhD Degree (co-tutelle formula) with 2 additional certificates (or transcript of records) from the 3rd and/or 4th research centres, detailing both the interdisciplinary and specialized curriculum. A Diploma Supplement (designed in accordance with the Treaty of Lisbon guidelines) describing personal curriculum contents and assessment mechanisms is also delivered to accompany the various fully-recognized national certificates.
