Demotion While on Initial Probation Clause Samples
The 'Demotion While on Initial Probation' clause allows an employer to reduce an employee's rank, position, or responsibilities during the employee's initial probationary period. Typically, this clause applies if the employee is not meeting performance expectations or is otherwise unsuitable for the original role, but the employer wishes to retain them in a lesser capacity rather than terminate employment outright. Its core function is to provide flexibility for employers to address performance issues during probation, offering an alternative to dismissal and potentially retaining valuable staff in more appropriate roles.
