Common use of Department Abolishment Clause in Contracts

Department Abolishment. Should the Township abolish the Police Department, the Township will make every effort to secure employment for members with another law enforcement agency or agencies within Franklin County. For any member for whom the Township is unable to secure such employment, the member will continue to receive the same wages and benefits from the Township that he or she was receiving at the time of the Department's abolishment. Such wages and benefits will continue for a period of three (3) months from the date of abolishment. During this three (3) month period, the Township will continue to pursue employment for the members.
