Common use of Dependent Child Clause in Contracts

Dependent Child. A dependent child refers to a child (natural or legally adopted), who is financially dependent on the Policy Holder, does not have his / her independent source of income, is up to the age of 23 years.

For the purpose of coverage under this Policy, the age limit for a dependent child shall be 25 years, however with respect to coverage under specific sections separate age limits shall be defined under the each benefit.
