Determination of Pay for Position Formerly Exempt. 416. When a position in the municipal service has been exempt from the salary standardization provisions of the Charter and becomes subject thereto, or when a position becomes subject to the salary standardization provisions of the Charter through acquisition of a public utility, the salary of the employee holding such position shall be calculated by including credit for continuous paid or nonpaid service in the position immediately prior to its becoming subject to salary standardization.
