Common use of Direct Consignment Clause in Contracts

Direct Consignment. 1. Preferential tariff treatment shall be accorded to an originating good satisfying the requirements of this Chapterand which is consigned directly from the exporting Party to theimporting Party. 2. The following shall be considered as consigned directlyfrom the exporting Party to the importing Party: (a) a good transported directly from the exporting Party to the importing Party; or (b) a good transported through one or more non-Parties,provided that the good does not undergo operationsother than transit or temporary storage in warehouses, unloading, reloading, and any other operation topreserve it in good condition.
