Common use of Direct Debits Clause in Contracts

Direct Debits. a) If you give a UK-based business or other organisation authority to collect regular payments from your account, they will normally provide you with a minimum of 10 Working Days’ notice before altering the payment dates or the amount of money that they ask us to pay from your account, unless you agree otherwise. b) We allow direct payments to be collected from your account on the date specified in the direct debit instruction. c) If you believe that there has been an incorrect direct debit payment you should inform us immediately so that we can arrange a full and immediate refund – even if the original mistake was made by the business or organisation that established the direct debit. You should also contact them to let them know what you have done and why.
