Common use of Directory Assistance Database Service (DADS Clause in Contracts

Directory Assistance Database Service (DADS. 10.5.1 BellSouth shall make its Directory Assistance Database Service (DADS) available solely for the expressed purpose of providing Directory Assistance type services to NOW end users. The term “end user” denotes any entity which obtains Directory Assistance type services for its own use from a DADS customer. Directory Assistance type service is defined as Voice Directory Assistance (DA Operator assisted and Electronic Directory Assistance (Data System assisted)). NOW agrees that DADS will not be used for any purpose which violates federal or state laws, statutes, regulatory orders or tariffs. Except for the permitted users, NOW agrees not to disclose DADS to others and shall provide due care in providing for the security and confidentiality of DADS. Further, NOW authorizes the inclusion of NOW Directory Assistance listings in the BellSouth Directory Assistance products.

Further, NOW ICS authorizes the inclusion of NOW Directory Assistance ICS Subscriber listings in the BellSouth Directory Assistance products.

Further, NOW Actel authorizes the inclusion of NOW Actel Directory Assistance listings in the BellSouth Directory Assistance products.

Further, NOW Ruddata authorizes the inclusion of NOW Directory Assistance Ruddata Subscriber listings in the BellSouth Directory Assistance products.
