Disabled Only As A Firefighter. For employees found to be only disabled from service as a member of the Department, the benefit shall be fifty percent (50%) of the annual salary at the time of the employee’s retirement date. The benefit shall be paid monthly for the period of disability and shall be adjusted annually by a non-compounding COLA of two percent (2%) beginning on January 1 immediately following the employee’s retirement.
