Disaster Conditions Clause Samples

The Disaster Conditions clause defines the rights and obligations of the parties in the event that a natural or man-made disaster impacts the performance of the contract. Typically, this clause outlines what constitutes a disaster, such as earthquakes, floods, or government-declared emergencies, and specifies procedures for notification, suspension, or modification of contractual duties during such events. Its core function is to allocate risk and provide a clear framework for how unforeseen disasters are managed, ensuring both parties understand their responsibilities and remedies if normal performance becomes impossible or impractical.
