Common use of Disciplinary and Investigatory Suspension Clause in Contracts

Disciplinary and Investigatory Suspension. The employer may suspend without pay for any period up to a maximum of ten (10) working days. Suspension of a longer duration will be allowed in cases when a complete investigation cannot be accomplished within the five day period. In no circumstance will the investigation take longer than 15 working days. If during that 15 day period, no evidence of wrongdoing is developed, the employee will be reinstated with back pay. Such suspension shall not constitute a waiver of the right to discharge and is subject to the grievance procedure.
