Common use of Discipline Representation Clause in Contracts

Discipline Representation. A teacher shall at all times be entitled to have present a representative of the Association when the teacher is called into the Superintendent’s or principal’s office to be reprimanded, warned or disciplined for any infraction of rules or delinquency in professional performance.

A teacher shall at all times be entitled to have present a representative of the Association when the teacher he is called into the Superintendent’s or principal’s office to be being reprimanded, warned or disciplined for any infraction of rules or delinquency in professional performance. Reprimands or disciplinary action against a teacher can only be implemented by an administrator. When a request for such representation is made, no action shall be taken with respect to the teacher until such representative of the Association is present. The Association shall provide representation in a timely manner.
