Dismissal, Non-Punitive Discipline, Suspension or Demotion for Cause. The appointing authority may dismiss, issue non-punitive discipline, suspend or demote any employee in the classified service provided the rules and regulations of the Civil Service Commission are followed. A permanent employee who does not appeal such action to the Civil Service Commission within fourteen (14) calendar days after receipt of such charges shall have the right to appeal the action in accordance with the provisions of Section 36.2 (c) and (d) unless his/her objection to the action has been resolved earlier in accordance with Section 36.2 (a) or (b).
