Tool Allowance. (a) A tool allowance as set in the relevant Wage Tables in Appendix A per week shall be paid for all purposes to:-
(i) Electrical workers at Grade EW 5 and beyond;
(ii) Electrical workers performing the duties of:
(A) Television Antenna Installer/Erector;
(B) Television/Radio/Electronic Equipment Servicemen; and
(iii) Apprentices - Contained within the relevant Apprentice Wage Rates.
Tool Allowance. 30.1 The City agrees to pay a quarterly tool allowance for Automotive Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanics, Welders and Auto Body Worker/Painter in the amount of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) quarterly. Such tool allowance will be paid to the employee within the first fifteen (15) days after the close of the quarter.
30.2 Mechanics' tools, which are stolen due to vandalism or forced entry upon the employer's property, will be replaced upon proof of a police report and an itemized list of the tools stolen.
30.3 The Department Director or his designee shall have the sole right to develop or redevelop a basic minimum tool list which employees must have to be hired in the various trades' classifications. The Department Director may grant a reasonable length of time for any employee to acquire additional tools to meet the basic minimum tool allowance inventory. Employees who fail to meet the basic minimum tool list inventory shall not receive a tool allowance. Tools may not be loaned to meet the basic inventory tool list.
30.4 The Department Director or designee, shall provide a required minimum list of tools for Automobile Mechanic & Motorcycle Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Maintenance Mechanic, Auto Body & Painter, Welder, Machinist, Mason, Carpenter, Electrician, Lineman, Plumber, Painter, A.C. Mechanic, Sign Painter, Communication Technician, or any other classification not listed that the Department Director may feel is necessary to add.
30.5 The affected employees within the above-listed classifications shall submit an inventory of all their personal tools, including the make and model of each tool, to their immediate supervisor outside the bargaining unit who will verify the list. The employee will maintain a copy of said inventory list and a copy will be filed with the Department Director or designee. This list shall be periodically checked and updated. The City shall replace broken, stolen, and worn out tools upon request and confirmation that the broken, stolen, or worn out tool was on the recorded inventory. This replacement policy does not apply to the classifications receiving the quarterly tool allowance as provided under this Article. Submission of the inventory list of tools in excess of the basic minimum tool list shall be completed within sixty
Tool Allowance. The Company agrees that any division covered by this agreement shall continue its existing practices regarding tool allowances and license renewals for skilled trades.
Tool Allowance. The Company agrees to arrange with a Tool Supplier for the purchase of tools required in the performance of a trade for each Skilled Trades employee. The Company further agrees to pay for a tool allowance annually up to three hundred ($300.00) dollars. Employees will be allowed to carry over to the next year, any unused portion of the annual $300.00. In addition, the Company agrees to pay the cost of license renewals for Skilled Trades when required by law.
Tool Allowance. Tradesmen who provide their own trade tools will be paid a tool allowance of $22.70 per week as a flat allowance. This allowance will escalate in the life of this agreement by the same escalation arrangements in clause 3.3 For the avoidance of doubt, there will be no industrial action taken by the employees or relevant Union bound by this agreement in relation to the quantum of the tool allowance.
Tool Allowance. The Board will pay on or before November 15 each year a tool allowance to Maintenance Department employees in the amount of Two Hundred dollars ($200.00) per annum. Tool allowances apply to the following, electricians, carpenters, plumbers, heating mechanics and auto mechanics.
Tool Allowance. Consistent with this Article, the Employer will provide quarterly payments to eligible employees to be used for the replacement of tools. Employees must provide receipts for the full amount of the tool allowance. Failure to present receipts equal to or greater than the tool allowance will result in tax consequences and consideration of the tool allowance as income. The schedule for the annual tool allowance will be as follows: Bargaining Unit Occupational Class Amount Amount Mechanic Autobody Repairer Mechanic Leader Welder* $785 Apprentice Mechanic $665 Mechanic Helper *NOTE: Welder must maintain tools at Mechanic level and will be called upon, as an assignment of work, to perform Mechanic work from time to time.
Tool Allowance. Where an employer does not provide all tools necessary for a tradesperson to perform their work, a tradesperson will be paid an allowance as shown in Table 2 – Allowances of Schedule A – Monetary Rates for supplying and maintaining tools ordinarily required in the performance of their work as a tradesperson. An apprentice will receive the relevant percentage of this allowance.
Tool Allowance. Where an Employer does not supply all tools necessary for a tradesperson to perform their work, a tradesperson will be paid the Tool Allowance as set out in Table 3 – Other Rates and Allowances of Schedule 1 – Salary Scales and Allowances for supplying and maintaining tools ordinarily required in the performance of their work as a tradesperson for the School.
Tool Allowance. The Employer shall provide an annual tool allowance (9/1 to 8/31) of up to nine hundred dollars ($900) per each regular full-time employee covered by this appendix for replacing personal tools broken or damaged while performing District services or for new tools required for the work of the District. All tools purchases made under this provision must be pre-approved by the bus maintenance supervisor. If the employee makes a tool purchase without such prior approval, except in cases of emergency, he will not be reimbursed. The maximum annual allowance of and shall not be exceeded under any circumstance. Any tools replaced in conformance with this section shall be the property of the employee.
