Common use of Displacement, Relocation, Acquisition and Replacement of Housing Clause in Contracts

Displacement, Relocation, Acquisition and Replacement of Housing. In accordance with 24 CFR §570.606, Lighthouse shall take all reasonable steps to minimize the displacement of persons as a result of activities funded under this Agreement. Any persons displaced shall be provided with relocation assistance to the extent permitted and required under applicable regulations. Lighthouse shall comply with 1) the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisitions Policies Act of 1970, as amended (URA), and the implementing regulations at 49 CFR part 24, 24 CFR part 42, and 24 CFR §570.606(b); 2) the requirements of 24 CFR §570.606(c) governing the Residential Anti-displacement and Relocation Assistance Plan under section 104(d) of the Housing and Community Development Act; and 3) the requirements in 24 CFR §570.606(d) governing relocation policies established by the City. Lighthouse shall provide all notices, advisory assistance, relocation benefits, and replacement dwelling units as required by said regulations, rules, and documents. Lighthouse shall provide relocation assistance to persons (families, individuals, businesses nonprofit organizations and farms) that are displaced as a direct result of acquisition, rehabilitation, demolition or conversion of a CDBG assisted project. Lighthouse shall comply with 24 CFR §570.606 and shall keep all records demonstrating compliance with these requirements including, but not limited to, those records required in 24 CFR §570.506, including data as to race and ethnicity of households (and gender of single heads of households) displaced, and addresses and census tracts of the housing units to which each displaced household relocated.
