Dispute involving;. (i) a question of general application of or interpretation of the provisions of this agreement, or (ii) a group of nurses, or (iii) the suspension or dismissal of any nurse or group of nurses, or (iv) grievances concerning discrimination, harassment, termination, lay-offs, and recalls shall proceed immediately to the second step of the grievance procedure at the discretion of the Union. In the case of a group grievance or a number of grievances arising from a common complaint, the Union will select one or two nurses as representatives of all the affected nurses at any and all hearings held in conjunction with the grievance or grievances.
